Quarterly Tournament round-up (August – October)!!

TAMS kids have performed excellently well in tournaments both national and international, in various age categories in the last quarter. Here are some quick highlights and results:

IMG-20171112-WA0011Manasvi Vardham won her first U-16 title at AITA U-16 TS3 tournament held at Fortune Sports Academy in October in Bangalore. She won the final defeating Kushi Vishwanath where she came back from a set down to win in three sets 2-6, 7-5, 7-6(3)!! This tournament saw Manasvi fighting all the way and included a hard-fought semifinal win of 9-6. Great Effort, Manasvi!

Charan Vardham reached the finals of AITA U-12 CS3 tournament held in Bellary in August. He lost to a strong opponent Prateek Alum but not before he gave a good fight and took the second set to a tie-breaker. The score read 0-6, 6-7(5)! Well Done, Charan!

 

 

 

image1image2Rurik in Australia – Rurik Rajini participated in u-10 and u-12 tournaments in Melbourne, Australia in October. He did a splendid job in winning the u-10 4-0, 4-0. He just lost only one game in the entire tournament where he played 6 matches. He also reached the semifinals in the under-12 category the following week!!

 

image3Rurik reached the finals of the Under 10 tournament conducted on Sat Sports on 18th October losing to Rethin Pranav 4-2, 5-3!

Aditya Narayanan won boys U-10 title AITA tournament held at Noah Sports, Bangalore, in August. He kept his poise and beat Gavin Wahengbam in a come-from-behind victory with a score of 2-4, 4-0, 4-2! Awesome, Aditya!

 

 

 

 

IMG_20171114_141952Arjun Sriram in Mauritius ITF – Arjun Sriram came from qualifying to reach semi-finals of ITF U18 Mauritius Open, in Mauritius, in September! En route to the semi-finals, Arjun saved 4 match points in his quarterfinal against Hugo Brungs of Sweden and won the nailbiting match 7-6(5), 4-6, 7-6(1)!! Arjun lost to the eventual winner 6-3,6-3 in the semifinal! Wonderful effort in only his second ITF, Way to go Arjun!
